Ethan Davis to miss remainder of season with ACL injury

Tennessee Volunteers starting tight end Ethan Davis will miss the remainder of the 2026 season due to an ACL injury sustained during a game against Georgia Tech. Davis had recorded two touchdowns and 43 receiving yards through the first two games of the season.

Davis released a statement on social media expressing gratitude to fans for their support and thanking Dr. Walt Lowe and his medical team for their care. He noted that the support from ‘Vol Nation’ has made the process of dealing with the injury easier.

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel addressed the loss, stating that the team must rely on the ‘next guy up’ to fill the role. He expressed regret regarding the injury, noting the significant work Davis had put into his personal and athletic growth.
