Tennessee tight end Ethan Davis has announced he will return to the university for the 2027 season following a season-ending ACL injury. Davis suffered the injury during a game against Georgia Tech, which will sideline him for the remainder of the 2026 campaign.

Davis, a senior, intends to utilize the NCAA’s rules regarding fifth-year eligibility to complete his college career. During the first two games of the current season, Davis recorded three receptions for 43 yards and two touchdowns. His previous season totals included 21 catches for 257 yards and two scores.

In his absence, the Tennessee tight end rotation is expected to feature DaSaahn Brame, Trent Thomas, and Luca Davis (or Luca Wolf).
