Ethan Hawke honored at Deauville American Film Festival

Actor Ethan Hawke attended the 52nd Deauville American Film Festival in Normandy, France, where he was honored with a career achievement award presented by Juliette Binoche. During the event, Hawke discussed his long career, reflecting on his first appearance at the festival in 1991.

Hawke also used the platform to present his new film, ‘Les Contrebandiers’ (The Smugglers), a survival drama set during the Great Depression co-starring Russell Crowe. In interviews, the actor expressed his views on the state of cinema, suggesting that corporate funding can negatively impact film quality.
