Ethan Hawke’s ‘The Lowdown’ returns for Season 2 with Tommy Lee Jones

FX has released the official trailer for the second season of ‘The Lowdown’, a Western-noir drama created by Sterlin Harjo. The series stars Ethan Hawke as Lee Raybon, a citizen journalist and ‘truthstorian’ operating out of a rare books store in Tulsa.

In the upcoming season, Raybon’s investigation into corruption and elite malfeasance begins after he is approached by public defender Ginger, played by Betty Gilpin, regarding a missing client. The narrative also introduces a significant personal conflict as Oscar-winner Tommy Lee Jones joins the cast as Raybon’s estranged father, Lee Raybon Senior.

Season two is scheduled to premiere with two episodes on October 14 on FX and Hulu, with the remaining six episodes airing on Wednesdays.
