SNCF announces rail disruptions between Marseille and Côte d’Azur

SNCF has announced significant rail service disruptions scheduled for the weekend of September 19 and 20, 2026, affecting lines between Marseille and the Côte d’Azur due to infrastructure modernization works.

On Saturday, September 19, traffic will be completely suspended for 24 hours on several sections, including the Antibes-Monaco, Nice-Breil-sur-Roya, and Cannes-Grasse lines. The Cannes-Grasse line will also remain closed on Sunday, September 20. These works are intended to upgrade railway installations, specifically at the Nice-Ville station and signaling systems.

In Marseille, rail traffic between Marseille Saint-Charles and Marseille Blancarde will be interrupted from Saturday until Sunday at 11:30 a.m. During this time, regional connections to and from Toulon and Nice will use Marseille Blancarde as the starting and ending point. Travelers transferring between Saint-Charles and Blancarde are advised to use Marseille Metro Line 1.
