ethecon Foundation announces 2026 award recipients

The ethecon Foundation Ethics & Economics has announced the recipients of its 2026 International ethecon Awards. Leonard Peltier, an activist for First Nations rights and a political prisoner, has been awarded the International ethecon Blue Planet Award 2026. The foundation cited his decades of commitment to ethical principles, environmental protection, and social rights.

In contrast, the foundation has named Larry Fink, co-founder and Chairman of BlackRock, as the recipient of the International ethecon Dead Planet Award 2026. The award serves as a critique of the financial corporation and its leadership. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in December.
