Ethereum analysts turn bullish amid ETF inflows and whale buying
Cryptocurrency analysts have shifted toward a strong bullish consensus for Ethereum (ETH), despite the asset being down over 10% year-to-date in 2026. The Analyst Consensus Index indicates a ‘Strong Buy’ sentiment, supported by long-term macro investors and recent market activity.
Several factors are driving this optimism. Renewed demand from United States spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) has seen inflows exceeding $2.835 billion over the last three months. Additionally, the Ethereum network continues to lead in the tokenization of real-world assets, with over $16.6 billion in value. Regulatory clarity in the United States has also contributed to a positive outlook among Wall Street analysts.
Technical analysis suggests Ethereum is facing a critical test around the $2,800 resistance level. While historical patterns from 2025 suggest a potential rally, the price may face consolidation if momentum fails to push it higher. Meanwhile, significant whale activity has been observed, including a recent OTC purchase of 4,500 ETH valued at approximately $12.38 million, which some traders interpret as a signal for potential upside.
