Ethereum Gains 7% on AI Infrastructure Outlook, Experts Say
Ethereum’s price jumped about 7%, reaching roughly $1,900, after analysts highlighted its role in artificial‑intelligence infrastructure. Wall Street investor Jordi Visser, who leads macro‑AI research at 22V Research, said the cryptocurrency has outperformed Bitcoin this month and expects a shift of focus toward Ethereum, linking its growth to AI‑driven finance and tokenisation. Visser noted that a sustained break above the 200‑day moving average could signal the start of a new rally and disclosed personal holdings in Bitcoin, Ethereum and related stocks.
Fundstrat co‑founder Tom Lee reiterated a bullish thesis, describing Ethereum as the foundational settlement layer for AI agents that will need neutral, trust‑less systems for identity, payments and ownership. Lee compared the current situation to Amazon before launching AWS and maintained a long‑term price target of $250,000, citing converging forces such as ETF inflows, whale staking, DeFi expansion and multi‑trillion‑dollar AI opportunities. He also disclosed increased personal Ethereum holdings. The analysts suggest investors watch ETF flow data, staking participation and on‑chain AI‑related contract activity for signs of continued upside.
