Ethereum Institutional Coalition raises funds, aims for tokenization by 2026

The Ethereum Institutional Coalition announced the completion of its first funding round, drawing support from more than 100 institutions. Core contributors include BitMNR, Sharplink and Ethereum co‑founders Joseph Lubin and Mihai Alisie. The capital will be used to accelerate on‑chain tokenisation, stablecoin issuance and settlement infrastructure, with a roadmap targeting full institutional deployment on Ethereum by 2026.

The coalition’s backing reflects a broader shift toward using Ethereum for real‑world asset tokenisation. The stablecoin market now exceeds $300 billion, with Ethereum and its Layer‑2 solutions holding roughly $148 billion of that volume, while tokenised real‑world assets total about $29 billion. Participants expect increased liquidity, new on‑ramps for traditional finance, and stronger regulatory alignment for digital‑asset services.
