Ethereum nears $1,800 as BitMine expands holdings, Hedera token rallies
Ethereum surged about 5% in a single day, retaking the $1,700 level and moving toward $1,800 as traders watch the $1,715‑$1,740 band for a potential breakout. BitMine Immersion Technologies bought an additional 76,881 ETH worth roughly $136 million, bringing its total to about 5.62 million ETH and edging closer to a 5 % supply target. The firm also highlighted a quantum‑resistant signature scheme (SPHINCS) adapted for the Ethereum Virtual Machine.
At the same time, Hedera’s HBAR token rose 7.7% over 24 hours to about $0.0835, breaking the $0.08 resistance. Technical analysis points to short‑term bullish momentum with price targets near $0.086 and $0.090. HBAR’s market value is around $3.6 billion with daily trading volume of $96 million.
