Ethereum edges toward $1,800 as short squeeze and tokenisation demand boost price
Ethereum (ETH) has risen by roughly 3‑5 % in recent sessions, climbing back toward the $1,800 psychological barrier after a short‑squeeze triggered by easing geopolitical tensions. Traders note that forced liquidations around $1,790‑$1,810 have helped push the price upward, but sellers have kept the rally capped just below $1,800.
Tokenisation activity is also supporting the move. Data from RWA.xyz shows Ethereum holds about 47 % of the global real‑world‑asset tokenisation market, and the recent launch of Robinhood Chain has driven over $100 million in ETH bridge deposits, converting speculative holdings into operational demand. Institutional inflows are evident, with Ethereum ETFs recording net inflows of roughly $128 million this month.
Despite the upside, analysts stress that the price remains boxed within a $1,500‑$1,800 range. A clean daily close above $1,800 would be needed to confirm a breakout, while a failure could see the pair test lower support near $1,500. Market participants are also watching upcoming regulatory clarity, which is increasingly viewed as the primary catalyst for further price moves.
