Ethereum price surges toward $2,500 on strong ETF inflows

Ethereum (ETH) has experienced a significant price rally, gaining approximately 30% over recent weeks and trading near the $2,500 level. This upward momentum is largely driven by substantial institutional demand, specifically through US spot Ethereum ETFs, which recorded massive net inflows totaling hundreds of millions of dollars.

Technical indicators show a mix of bullish and overbought signals. While a golden cross and the transition of previous resistance levels into support suggest long-term strength, high RSI readings indicate the market may be overextended. Additionally, a significant decline in ETH exchange supply—dropping roughly 18% since June—suggests investors are moving assets into private custody, potentially reducing available liquidity for selling.

Market activity has also been fueled by a major short squeeze, liquidating billions in bearish derivative positions. Looking ahead, analysts are monitoring key resistance zones between $2,550 and $2,650, with some targets reaching as high as $3,000 if current momentum persists. Long-term sentiment is further supported by upcoming network developments, such as the Glamsterdam upgrade planned for late 2026.
