Ethereum price outlook faces possible August‑September correction

Analysts warn that Ethereum (ETH) could encounter a notable correction in the late summer months. Benjamin Cowen highlighted that, after a historically strong July for crypto, August and September have often seen sharp pull‑backs, suggesting a potential “weakness window” that could test the token’s resilience. He noted that while a catastrophic 80% decline is unlikely, a deeper than usual dip—perhaps a 40% slide to the $1,800‑$2,000 range—could occur before the market steadies.

Crypto Patel echoed the caution, observing that ETH is trading just above a critical support zone around $1,797. He cautioned investors against waiting for a deep bottom, saying that betting on a fall to $700‑$1,000 could be costly. Patel suggested a more measured approach, with gradual buying and attention to longer‑term trends, while still acknowledging the possibility of a sharp correction. Both analysts point to strong fundamental factors such as institutional interest and Ethereum’s role in DeFi, stablecoins, and tokenized assets, which could support a recovery after any short‑term weakness.
