Ethereum whale moves and ETF inflows reshape crypto market as Bitcoin ETFs bleed

Ethereum saw a surge of whale activity, with about 226,435 ETH (≈ $430 million) transferred in a single day, keeping the price above the key $1,733 support level. The cryptocurrency traded near $1,916 with a 24‑hour volume of $23.13 billion. Institutional demand grew as spot Ethereum ETFs attracted $11.21 billion of net inflows, bringing total assets under management to $10.5 billion. The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust recorded a $5.15 million net inflow on its debut, while BlackRock’s ETHB ETF added $5.91 million in daily inflows.

At the same time, Bitcoin‑focused ETFs entered a period of outflows. Across U.S. spot Bitcoin funds, a total of $526 million was withdrawn over four consecutive trading sessions, with BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) alone shedding $54.83 million in a single day. Overall cumulative net inflows for Bitcoin ETFs remain near $51.4 billion, but the recent outflow streak signals waning institutional appetite. Bitcoin’s price hovered around $63,900, showing little movement despite the funding shifts. Notable investors also shifted positions: Arthur Hayes bought $6.32 million of ETH, and BlackRock clients moved roughly $60 million from the IBIT Bitcoin ETF into Ethereum holdings.
