Ethereum surges in Q3, aiming to end multi-quarter losing streak

Ethereum is experiencing a significant market reversal, with price increases of approximately 58% to 60% during the third quarter. This rally is on track to end a prolonged losing streak that saw the cryptocurrency lose value across three consecutive quarters.

Market analysts, including Bitmine Immersion chairman Tom Lee, suggest that institutional inflows and the potential passage of the CLARITY Act could drive further growth into the fourth quarter. The surge follows a period of heavy devaluation earlier in the year. Additionally, Ethereum ETFs in the United States saw significant activity in late August, with over $824 million flowing into the funds in a single week.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies remains a major corporate holder, possessing nearly 5% of the total Ethereum supply. Despite the recent quarterly gains, the asset remains down for the overall year due to the substantial losses experienced in the first half of 2026.
