Ethiopia and Nigeria strengthen strategic partnership for African connectivity

Ethiopia and Nigeria are strengthening their strategic partnership to enhance African travel connectivity, visa cooperation, and cross-border investment opportunities. During high-level discussions in Addis Ababa, officials focused on leveraging the economic potential and significant populations of both nations to support broader African development.

As part of these efforts, Ethiopia has already granted visa exemptions for Nigerian diplomatic and service passport holders. While specific new travel arrangements for general citizens are still under discussion, the cooperation aims to improve mobility and facilitate smoother international movement to support economic growth and bilateral engagement.
