Ethnographic Museum hosts exhibition on the memory of conscription

The Ethnographic Museum is hosting an exhibition titled ‘The Memory of Conscription,’ which focuses on the lived experiences of soldiers during the second half of the 20th century. The collection uses audio recordings, military equipment, and personal artifacts to reconstruct the daily realities of military service.

The exhibition explores various thematic elements of soldier life, including mobilization, camaraderie, homesickness, and the hardships faced within the ranks. Through items such as letters to mothers, discharge flags, and photographs, the display aims to humanize the historical fragments of military service and illustrate the struggle to survive and adapt to the system.
