Etihad Airways expands West African reach through partnerships with Air Peace and Africa World Airlines

Etihad Airways has signed interline agreements with Nigeria’s Air Peace and Ghana’s Africa World Airlines to broaden its network across West Africa. The Air Peace deal gives Etihad passengers access to 20 destinations in Nigeria, West and Central Africa, allowing travel on a single ticket from Abu Dhabi to cities such as Abuja, Lagos, Accra, Dakar and Douala. The partnership with Africa World Airlines will similarly enable single‑ticket journeys between Abu Dhabi and Ghana, linking to destinations like Kumasi, Tamale, Lagos and Abuja, and supports a planned Abu Dhabi‑Accra service for March 2027.

Both agreements cover codeshare, cargo collaboration and frequent‑flyer programme integration, aiming to boost travel, trade and tourism between the United Arab Emirates and West African markets. Etihad’s chief commercial officer Arik De said, “Our ambitions in Africa are long term, and Nigeria sits at the centre of them,” and added that Ghana “is one of West Africa’s most dynamic aviation markets.”
