Etihad Airways launches direct Calgary to Abu Dhabi flight route

Etihad Airways and Calgary International Airport have announced a new direct flight route between Calgary and Abu Dhabi. Starting November 3, the service will operate four days a week, marking the only direct connection between Western Canada and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to the Calgary expansion, several UAE-based airlines are increasing their flight networks for the autumn and winter seasons. Emirates will launch daily service from Dubai to Helsinki starting October 1, providing a year-round link to Finland. flydubai is introducing a daily service from Dubai to Pokhara, Nepal, to facilitate access to the Annapurna region.

Further expansions include Etihad Airways connecting Abu Dhabi to Gothenburg, Sweden, four times per week starting December 17. Air Arabia is also increasing its presence in Europe by adding services from Sharjah to Gdansk and Katowice in Poland, as well as Dusseldorf, Germany, beginning in mid-December.
