Etihad Rail to open Dubai station on September 30

Etihad Rail is scheduled to open its Al Yalayis station in Dubai on September 30, 2026, marking a significant expansion of the UAE’s national passenger railway network. Located in the Jumeirah Golf Estates area near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, the station will provide a direct connection between Dubai and Abu Dhabi with an estimated travel time of approximately 57 minutes.

The station is designed to integrate with existing public transport through a pedestrian connection to the Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Dubai Metro Red Line. This link aims to facilitate seamless travel between the national rail network and the city's metro system.

As part of the phased rollout, services will also extend to Al Dhaid in Sharjah. Introductory fares for the service are set to begin at Dh55 for Comfort Class and Dh120 for Premium Class, which represents a 50 per cent reduction compared to standard adult ticket prices. Discounts are also available for passengers aged 2 to 17 and senior citizens aged 60 and above.
