Etnofest Didak festival opens in Hercegovačko selo

The second edition of Etnofest Didak has opened in Hercegovačko selo, located in the Čitluk municipality. The cultural and gastronomic festival, organized by the Didak Ethno Group, aims to showcase the traditions, flavors, and customs of Herzegovina.

Marija Buhač, President of the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, officially opened the event. She emphasized that the festival enriches the local tourism sector and preserves the memory of Fra Didak Buntić, a Franciscan friar noted for his historical efforts to save thousands of hungry children in the region.

The festival program includes musical performances by groups such as Klapa Liron, Etno skupina Čuvarice, Etno skupina Didak, and the tambura ensemble Ritam. Visitors can also explore stalls featuring local products, traditional foods, handicrafts, and jewelry.
