Eton College welcomes Prince George as new term begins

Eton College, the historic private boarding school in Berkshire founded by King Henry VI in 1440, has welcomed a new cohort of 250 first-year students. Among the incoming pupils is Prince George, the heir to the British throne, who joins the school following in the footsteps of his father, Prince William.

The institution currently hosts 1,345 boarding boys aged 13 to 18. While known for its traditional atmosphere and tailcoat uniforms, the school maintains that its student body is increasingly international. Approximately 20 per cent of pupils receive bursaries ranging from partial to full coverage.
