Etsu Egami to debut first domestic public art exhibition at Otemachi One

Artist Etsu Egami will present her first domestic public art exhibition, titled ‘Otemachi One: Parallel Lines Tell the Future of Faces,’ at the Otemachi One complex in Tokyo. The exhibition is scheduled to run from September 28 to December 25, 2026.

Moving from two-dimensional portraits to three-dimensional works, Egami will utilize various spaces within the complex, including the Otemachi One Garden lawn, the building lobby, windows, and office entrances. Key installations include dome-shaped tents featuring portraits in the garden, which will illuminate at night, and her first folding screen work located in the lobby.

The exhibition explores the essence of communication and the discrepancies in perception caused by cultural and linguistic differences. Accompanying events include a talk session on October 19, 2026, featuring Egami and wellness founder Kotaro Nakata, as well as a ‘Garden Night Out’ event on the opening day featuring food trucks and light installations.
