Etsuzan Kenseido to host seasonal wagashi workshop in Kanazawa

Etsuzan Kenseido, a long-established confectionery shop in Kanazawa, will host a workshop titled ‘Finding Small Autumn through Wagashi’ on October 31, 2026.

Led by professional wagashi artisans from the shop, which was founded in 1888, the session will teach participants how to create two types of ‘jo-namagashi’ (high-quality seasonal sweets). The workshop aims to share the cultural traditions of Kanazawa through the art of seasonal confectionery. The event is scheduled from 15:00 to 16:00 at the Etsuzan Kenseido main store, with an admission fee of 1,800 yen for adults. Reservations are required via the official website.
