Ettingebos nature management event invites volunteers

Natuurpunt Oosterzele is organizing a nature management event in the Ettingebos on Saturday, October 10. Volunteers are invited to assist with various maintenance tasks, including planting, managing coppice wood, reducing brambles, removing debris, and maintaining walking paths.

The Ettingebos is a biodiverse area featuring both dry and wet zones, including the Kleine and Grote Ettingebeek streams. The area is home to various wildlife, such as squirrels, buzzards, hawks, and deer, as well as specific butterfly species. The management session will take place from 9:00 AM to approximately 12:30 PM in Hettingen, followed by a communal meal.
