Ettore Bruno releases new book on Calabria's military history

Ettore Bruno has released ‘La Calabria delle guerre’, the second volume of his ‘Trilogia della Calabria’. The book examines 2,500 years of military conflicts and popular uprisings within the Calabria region.

The work details ancient Greek colonial hostilities, including massive battles between the forces of Sybaris, Kroton, and Locri near the Traente and Sagra rivers, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths. It also covers the Battles of Seminara, where French forces clashed with Spanish and Neapolitan armies during the Italian Wars of the late 15th and mid-16th centuries.

The publication features contributions from Alessandra Pasqua, Giuseppe Gervasi, Santo Gioffrè, Leonardo Spataro, and Antonio Collura.
