Argentina's agro sector logs $3.0 bn export earnings in June, still 18% below 2025
Argentina's agro‑export complex recorded US$3.007 billion in export earnings during June 2026, a 12% rise from May but still 18% lower than the same month a year earlier. The six‑month total reached US$13.378 billion, down 13% year‑on‑year, a key source of foreign‑exchange that helped stabilise the official dollar rate, though a seasonal slowdown is expected to pressure the currency later in the year. Industry leaders said the earnings reflect a “historical normal year” with strong wheat, sunflower and corn sales and no extraordinary factors affecting the flow of dollars. The sector’s performance comes amid a broader decline in cattle slaughter and beef exports, which reduced overall export values despite modest growth in grain volumes.
