EU Ambassador Michalis Rokas visits Ss. Cyril and Methodius University

European Union Ambassador Michalis Rokas visited Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje as part of a new initiative to engage with students across the country. The program, launched at the start of the academic year, allows students to set the agenda and choose the topics for discussion regarding their future.

During a debate with students from the Faculty of Law, participants raised issues concerning North Macedonia’s European integration, the rule of law, and opportunities for youth. Ambassador Rokas emphasized the necessity of restoring trust, political engagement, and continuing reforms to strengthen institutional independence and effectiveness as essential steps toward EU integration. He also highlighted opportunities provided by the European Union, such as the Erasmus+ program.
