Data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) reveals the number of European Union citizens eligible to vote in the upcoming municipal elections scheduled for May 23, 2027, in various Spanish regions.

In Castilla y León, León holds the highest number of EU electors with 1,953 residents, followed by Burgos (1,727), Valladolid (1,649), and Segovia (1,523). The total number of registered EU voters in Castilla y León is 10,118. In Galicia, 8,256 EU citizens are already registered to vote, though an additional 10,864 residents could potentially join the census if they manifest their intent to vote by the December 30, 2026, deadline.

Across Spain, there are 345,312 registered EU electors. To exercise voting rights, EU citizens must have previously expressed their intention to vote in Spain. This can be done online via the INE electronic office or in person at local town halls. The Electoral Census Office has sent communications to 515,363 EU citizens to facilitate this process.
