EU Commissioner Kos urges North Macedonia to adopt constitutional amendments

European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, has called on the North Macedonian government to fulfill its obligation regarding constitutional amendments. Following a meeting in Brussels with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs Bekim Sali, Kos emphasized that these amendments are the critical step required for the country to advance its EU integration process without further political decisions.

Kos noted that North Macedonia is at a historical juncture, observing progress in other Western Balkan nations such as Albania and the potential upcoming accession agreement for Montenegro. She stated that the ability to move forward depends on politicians meeting expectations and completing the necessary constitutional changes in the interest of the citizens.
