Fuel prices rise across Balkan region and Slovenia
Multiple countries in the Balkan region and Slovenia are experiencing rising fuel prices due to market fluctuations and regulatory adjustments.
In Croatia, the government has approved new maximum retail prices, increasing gasoline by 0.03 EUR/l to 1.66 EUR/l and diesel by 0.06 EUR/l to 1.86 EUR/l. A diesel shortage has been noted due to the Rijeka refinery operating at 66-70% capacity during a testing phase.
Slovenia is seeing record-high prices, with diesel expected to exceed 1.90 EUR/l. Gasoline is rising to approximately 1.61 EUR/l.
In North Macedonia, the Regulatory Commission for Energy and Water Services has increased maximum prices for petroleum derivatives by an average of 2.62%. Diesel prices are rising to 101.50 denars per liter. Montenegro has seen a slight decrease in diesel and 98-octane gasoline prices following a reduction in excise duties.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, fuel prices vary significantly by city, with diesel approaching 3.55 KM per liter in some areas, while the national average remains around 3.42 KM per liter.
