EU ‘Future is the EU’ campaign reaches Mostar
The ‘Future is the EU’ campaign has arrived in Mostar, continuing its tour across Bosnia and Herzegovina following its launch in Sarajevo on September 4. Supported by the European Union, the initiative provides a platform for young people to share their ideas, expectations, and priorities regarding the country’s future.
Central to the campaign is the ‘Joint Declaration of Youth on the European Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina,’ a document co-created by 80 young people from across the country. Ferdinand Koenig, Head of the EU Communication Department in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that the campaign is driven by youth expressing their own goals and that the EU serves as their support. He emphasized that a European future is essential for the prosperity and stability of both the country and Europe.
The event in Mostar brought together members of the EU Youth Advisory Board, Young European Ambassadors, and other youth networks. The program included discussions on key steps toward the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a live art installation by the artist Jaks, who transformed youth messages into a collaborative mural.
