The act aims to increase the EU's manufacturing share from 14% to 20% by 2035. While France advocates for stronger 'Made in Europe' protections to counter subsidized imports, Germany remains cautious, fearing that protectionist measures could trigger trade retaliation against its export-dependent economy.
