EU Mission Delegation inspects residue monitoring in Aydın and Muğla

The European Union (EU) Mission Delegation conducted field inspections in the Turkish provinces of Aydın and Muğla to evaluate the National Residue Monitoring Program. The program is designed to ensure the reliability of animal products and support sustainable access to international markets.

During the visits, which included meetings with Aydın Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Ayhan Temiz and Deputy Director Dr. Hamit Eray Yeşilçayır, the delegation reviewed sampling methods, laboratory analysis workflows, and documentation processes. The inspection focused on the traceability of products and the effectiveness of control and audit mechanisms.

The delegation examined records and technical details to assess compliance and consistency in the implementation of the monitoring program. These processes are considered vital for maintaining food safety standards and protecting export capabilities for animal-derived goods.
