EU plastic regulations drive changes in beverage bottle production
New European Union regulations regarding single-use plastic packaging are leading to visible changes in consumer goods. Following the implementation of tethered caps for beverage containers up to 3 liters, new rules are now focusing on the composition of the bottles themselves.
Manufacturers are increasingly required to incorporate higher percentages of recycled material into their production. This shift may result in aesthetic differences for consumers, as bottles made with higher recycled content may exhibit variations in transparency, tint, or overall clarity compared to those made from virgin plastic.
