eufy introduces smartphone-controlled breastfeeding technology

Anker Innovations, through its brand eufy, has introduced smart devices designed to support breastfeeding and the daily routines of families with infants. The new product lineup includes a breast pump and a baby bottle washer that can be controlled via smartphone.

The initiative follows World Breastfeeding Week, highlighting the gap between initial breastfeeding intentions and long-term practice. While breastfeeding rates in many Central European countries exceed 90% initially, the percentage of infants exclusively breastfed at six months drops below 20%, falling short of the World Health Organization’s 50% global target.

Anker suggests that technology can help address the practical challenges of expressed milk feeding, such as the time-consuming nature of cleaning equipment and the hygiene requirements of maintaining breast pumps and bottles. These smart tools aim to reduce the time and labor burden on mothers, facilitating easier transitions during work or travel.
