Eugen Cakolli condemns closure of Kosovo parliament chamber doors
Eugen Cakolli described the decision to lock the doors of the parliamentary chamber as "scandalous" and "unacceptable". He argued that the chair of the Constitutional Session has no authority over the physical access to the hall, whose role is limited to directing the session's proceedings. Cakolli called for an immediate investigation to identify who ordered the closure, demanded institutional and disciplinary accountability, and warned that legal responsibility may also be considered.
He emphasized that the parliamentary administration exists to support deputies and enable them to exercise their mandate, not to impede them, and urged transparency about the decision‑making chain behind the door closure.
