Eugenio Barba and Odin Teatret to visit Brindisi

Eugenio Barba, a master of contemporary theatre, will return to his birthplace of Brindisi from October 22 to 24, 2026. The event, titled ‘Porto Pace: Eugenio Barba e Odin Teatret a Brindisi’, is organized by the Municipality of Brindisi in collaboration with the Fondazione Nuovo Teatro Verdi as part of the Brindisi Puglia Capital of Culture 2026 program.

As Barba approaches his ninetieth birthday, the initiative will feature performances, meetings, and public conversations involving the Odin Teatret. The program includes activities in local schools, the Tempio di San Giovanni al Sepolcro, Palazzo Nervegna, and the Nuovo Teatro Verdi. Additionally, film screenings regarding Barba’s urban and community experiences will be held in various high schools from October 12 to 16.
