Eugenio Chacarra wins DP World India Championship

DP World India Championship Eugenio Chacarra Race to Dubai DP World Tour golf

Spanish golfer Eugenio Chacarra won the DP World India Championship at the Delhi Golf Club, marking his third victory of the 2026 season. Despite playing with a fractured toe, Chacarra finished at 21-under par, securing a two-stroke victory over New Zealand’s Daniel Hillier, who finished at 19-under par.

The tournament featured a marathon Sunday due to weather disruptions, forcing players to complete 25 holes. Chacarra began the final stretch with a commanding five-shot lead after a 63 in his third round, though Hillier mounted a late charge that narrowed the gap before Chacarra secured the win.

This victory propels Chacarra to the top of the Race to Dubai rankings, overtaking Patrick Reed and moving ahead of Rory McIlroy with three tournaments remaining in the regular season. This win also strengthens his position for potential selection to the 2027 European Ryder Cup team.
