Eugenio Derbez discusses explaining sensitive series plot to daughter

Actor Eugenio Derbez shared a personal experience regarding how he and his wife, Alessandra Rosaldo, handled explaining the plot of his new Prime Video series, ‘El Juicio’, to their 12-year-old daughter, Aitana.

Because the series involves sensitive themes, including a plot centered on a young woman reporting sexual abuse, the parents initially hesitated to discuss the details. After Aitana expressed curiosity about the project, Rosaldo began explaining the context to provide her with an educational opportunity regarding prevention and identifying risk situations.

Derbez noted that they provided enough information for her to understand the context without revealing every detail. When he offered her the chance to watch the first episode to decide if she wanted to continue watching, Aitana declined, stating she did not feel prepared for the content.
