Eugenio Finardi discusses past drug addiction and loss of wife

Italian singer-songwriter Eugenio Finardi shared personal reflections during an appearance on the television program ‘Ballando con le Stelle’. The 74-year-old artist discussed his history with drug addiction, describing a two-year period of substance use that began during his youth following an introduction by a friend.

Finardi also spoke about his complex and intense relationship with his first wife, Patrizia. He described their bond as being marked by both deep love and shared dependencies. He reflected on the grief following her death at the age of 56 due to hepatitis C, and touched upon the birth of his daughter, Elettra, as part of his journey through recovery.
