Eugenio Suárez to miss Cincinnati Reds games for US citizenship exam

Venezuelan infielder Eugenio Suárez will be absent from the Cincinnati Reds lineup for two games this Tuesday and Wednesday. The 34-year-old slugger is taking time away from the field to sit for his United States citizenship exam.

Suárez, who has resided in the U.S. continuously since his MLB debut in 2014, is undergoing the naturalization process to obtain dual nationality. The exam involves testing knowledge of U.S. history, government, civics, and English language proficiency. His absence coincides with the Reds' series against the San Diego Padres.
