Eugeniusz Lipiński, founder of Tricity bakery network, dies at 78

Eugeniusz Lipiński, the founder of a prominent bakery and confectionery network in the Tricity area, passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 78.

Established in 1990, the business grew from a small workshop into a significant enterprise employing nearly 100 people. The network operates 19 stores across Gdańsk and Gdynia, supplying products to approximately 100 retail customers. Despite technological advancements, the company maintains its commitment to traditional recipes.

Lipiński was a member of the Bakers and Confectioners Guild in Gdańsk and was recognized by colleagues and family as a mentor who trained many professionals in the craft. Beyond his professional life, he was an avid traveler and mountain enthusiast who enjoyed skiing and hiking.
