Eugénia Cardoso appointed to Water Europe advisory committee

Eugénia Cardoso of Águas do Tejo Atlântico has been appointed to represent the Águas de Portugal Group on the Policy Advisory Committee of Water Europe. Water Europe is a major European platform for water sector innovation and sustainability, comprising approximately 300 members and supported by the European Commission.

The committee's mission is to assist Water Europe's leadership in analyzing legislative processes and defining positions on European water policies. The goal is to advance a ‘Water-Smart Society’ by focusing on water scarcity prevention, pollution control, circular economy through resource reuse, and increasing the resilience of water systems against climate change.

Cardoso brings technical expertise in monitoring water and wastewater quality to the role. Her appointment is intended to strengthen the Portuguese presence in European debates regarding sustainable water management and to contribute technical knowledge from the Águas de Portugal Group to the development of regional water strategies.
