Eumseong County announces rural development and village projects

Eumseong County has announced several major initiatives aimed at improving rural living conditions and community vitality. The county has finalized the selection of five villages for the 2027 Village Making Project. These locations include Buyun 1-ri in Daeso-eup, Bongjeon 1-ri and Bisan 2-ri in Soi-myeon, and Munchon 2-ri and Ohyang 2-ri in Gamgok-myeon. Over the next three years, a total of 500 million won will be invested in these areas to facilitate facility improvements and resident capacity building.

Additionally, the county is moving forward with large-scale rural revitalization projects in Daeso-eup and Samsung-myeon following approval from Chungcheongbuk-do. The Daeso-eup project involves an 18 billion won investment to construct the ‘Bakjang Daeso Complex Hub Center’ to integrate culture, welfare, and community functions, with completion expected by December 2027.

The Samsung-myeon project will utilize approximately 12.07 billion won to create a complex administrative and welfare center, aiming to provide one-stop services for residents. Both projects combine physical infrastructure development with software-based community empowerment programs to enhance the quality of life for diverse groups, including multicultural families, the elderly, and infants.
