Eumseong County enhances maternal and newborn health services
Eumseong County is working to improve the environment for maternal and newborn health management services. The county health center recently conducted on-site inspections of three local service providers—Goeunmam Care, Dodam Dodam Postpartum Helper (Eumseong-Jincheon branch), and Chinjeongmam Postpartum Helper—to ensure service quality, professionalism, and operational transparency.
The inspections focused on facility and personnel management, service record keeping, caregiver training completion, and accounting transparency.
To alleviate the financial burden on families, the county is also implementing a support program that covers 90% of the out-of-pocket costs for these health management services. There is no upper limit on the subsidy amount, allowing families to receive the full 90% of their actual expenses. For those exceeding income limits who choose extended services, the subsidy covers 90% of the standard service rate.
To qualify, residents must have been registered in Eumseong County for at least three months prior to the expected or actual birth date, and the newborn must be registered in the county. Applications can be submitted online via Government24 or in person at local health centers within three months of service completion.
