Eumseong County launches traditional food instructor training

The Eumseong County Agricultural Technology Center has announced a new educational program titled ‘Agricultural Value-Based Proper Food Culture Education.’ The initiative aims to promote the excellence of local agricultural products and encourage their consumption by training professional instructors.

The program focuses on obtaining the Level 1 Traditional Food Instructor certification. It will consist of eight weekly sessions held every Tuesday from October 13 to December 1. The curriculum includes theoretical and practical training on Korean traditional food characteristics, royal court cuisine history, Chungcheong-do local fermented foods, traditional rice cakes, and various culinary techniques.

Applications are open to residents of Eumseong County on a first-come, first-served basis until October 8. The center is recruiting a total of 14 participants, including two alternates. Priority will be given to individuals who already hold culinary-related certifications, such as Korean Food Cooking Technicians or Dietary Education Instructors.
