Eumseong-gun launches dental health support for foreign residents
The Eumseong-gun Public Health Center is continuing its ‘Happy Together Dental Health Program’ to improve oral hygiene and reduce medical blind spots for foreign residents in Eumseong-gun. The initiative is designed to address challenges faced by the local foreign population, such as language barriers and economic burdens, which often hinder access to dental services.
The program provides customized preventive education, including instruction on proper brushing techniques and fluoride application. Following an initial session in July, a second round of education is scheduled for November to help residents establish long-term healthy habits.
In addition to education, the health center facilitates direct medical connections. Through a partnership with the Eumseong-gun Foreigner Support Center and Seoul The Bareun Dental Clinic, public health dentists examine residents and refer those requiring professional treatment to local partner clinics. This collaborative system aims to support the stable settlement of foreign residents within the community.
