Eumseong Myeongjak Festival attracts 270,000 visitors

The 2026 Eumseong Myeongjak Festival concluded its four-day run at Geumbit Neighborhood Park, attracting approximately 270,000 visitors. The event aimed to promote the excellence of Eumseong County's agricultural products and expand market opportunities for local farmers.

Key activities included the Myeongjak Market, which featured regional specialties such as peppers, peaches, rice, ginseng, and flowers. To boost sales, the festival implemented various programs including tasting events, time sales, and a new 1,000-won special sale. The festival also featured diverse entertainment, ranging from drone shows and K-culture performances to a dedicated night market called ‘Myeongjak Moonlight Night Market’.

In addition to agricultural promotion, Eumseong County utilized the festival to advocate for the inclusion of the Central Inland Railway branch in the 5th National Railway Network Construction Plan. A promotional booth was operated to build public consensus regarding the necessity of the railway, which would connect Gamgok to the Chungbuk Innovation City.
