Eumseong Myeongjak Festival to showcase local produce in September

The 2026 Eumseong Myeongjak Festival is scheduled to take place from September 17 to September 20 at Geumbit Neighborhood Park in Geumwang-eup. The event aims to promote the excellence of Eumseong County’s six major agricultural products: chili peppers, ginseng, fruit, peaches, rice, and flowers.

Visitors can purchase high-quality local produce at the ‘Myeongjak Market’ through various sales initiatives, including time sales, tasting events, and special one-thousand-won sales. A new addition this year is the ‘Eumseong Agricultural Sweet and Salty Market,’ which will feature desserts and snacks made from local ingredients.

The festival includes a diverse lineup of entertainment, such as a drone show, magic performances, and musical acts including Gukga Sten, Shin Yong-jae, Park Seo-jin, and Gummy. Nighttime activities like the ‘Myeongjak Moonlight Night Market’ will offer beer, food, and live performances.

Family-oriented programs include the ‘Myeongjak Children’s Farmer School’ and various hands-on experiences. To improve accessibility, shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes between Geumwang Terminal and Geumbit Sports Center, and services such as agricultural product delivery and ginseng cleaning will be provided.
